We meet on a cool Sunday afternoon at the infamous store Target in Santa Fe! Ernestine was shopping for a TV with her mom because she was getting ready to attend college in Albuquerque at the University of NM. Jessie was there shopping with a friend when he laid eyes on Ernestine. They acted shy at first and never talked to eachother in the store. Ernestine was makeup free and with her mom so she was terribly embarrassed to talk to Jessie "without her face on" is what she called it. It wasn't until they both were driving away from the store that Jessie smiled at Ernestine in the parking lot and finally approached her as they were stopped at the same stop light leaving Target. Jessie rolled down his window and the first thing he said was "What's up girl, what are you doing tonight" while Ernestine's mom was sitting in the passenger seat!! That's where their love story begin.
